OpenAI Will Make ChatGPT and Codex Share One Allowance in December. Users Are Filing Their Objections on Codex's Bug Tracker

OpenAI's help center says that starting in December, Plus, Pro and Business usage "will be shared across ChatGPT and Codex", measured in tokens, as Work's agent features move into the main ChatGPT app. OpenAI says it expects most users won't hit resets more often than now. Subscribers disagree in public: a GitHub issue asking to keep the two allowances separate has drawn 17 comments, and a thread on OpenAI's own community forum asks the same. Feature request: a refund for the feature.
