A Developer Says Claude Code Refused to Help Build a D&D Dice Roller for a 35-Year-Old HP 48 Calculator

A Claude Code user filed a bug report on 3 November saying the agent would not help write a Saturn assembly app that rolls Dungeons & Dragons dice on their HP 48 SX calculator. The whole report is three sentences long and ends: "This is absolutely nuts. Do better." It does not include the refusal itself, so what tripped it is unknown; the risk a d20 poses on a 35-year-old calculator has not been explained.
