Claude Code's iPhone Permission Alerts Now Offer 'Deny' and 'Deny With Comment'. 'Approve' Has Gone Missing, Users Report
A user filed a GitHub issue on 1 November saying that long-pressing a Claude Code Remote Control permission alert on iPhone now shows only "Deny" and "Deny with comment", where "Approve" used to be. They logged seven such prompts on 25 and 31 October, through an app update and a CLI upgrade, and ask Anthropic to restore the button or say whether removing it was intentional. Saying no now takes one tap; saying yes takes a walk back to the Mac.

Key facts
- The reporter says all seven prompts came from a PreToolUse hook in "auto" mode and that they have not yet tested prompts without the hook.
- An Android user reported a similar change in a separate issue on 29 October: "now there is only deny option".
- The reporter's reading of the CLI code found no signal telling the phone to hide Approve, and notes the web client reads a per-push field with the values "approve_deny" and "deny_only".
- The issue is labelled bug, iOS and regression; no reply from Anthropic as of 3 November.
